Film Festivals.
Each year there are a small number of small format 8 mm and super 8 film festivals held around Australia and all budding filmmakers filming in small format of 8 mm and Super 8 can find an outlet for the work they create and enjoy the accolades or recognition they deserve for their art form.
It sometimes happens that participants can go on to bigger and better things in television or
the mainstream media or film studio arena as directors, producers and editors.
Small format film makers can learn a great deal about the craft and through their efforts acquire skills in film exposure, lighting challenges, editing and of course post production technicalities.
Attending film festivals is also a great way to find out what new film styles are emerging as well as popular animation or stop motion animation techniques.
Young film makers are to be encouraged to grow and develop to provide us all with tomorrow’s talent pool and future Hollywood greats.
